The following information was recently circulated by Police Scotland
Officers would like to remind motorists to remain vigilant following recent thefts of vehicles in the county.
About 11.50am on Friday 26th April, a silver Ford Transit was stolen from Marine Parade, North Berwick. (Incident 1423 of 26/04/19 refers).
About 2pm on Monday 29th April 2019, a blue Ford Transit was stolen from Market Street, Haddington. (Incident 2005 of 29/04/19 refers).
In both incidents, the true keys to the vehicle have been left unattended and accessible to passing criminals.
Motorists are reminded not to leave their vehicle's insecure and to keep keys secure at all times.
Members of the public are encouraged to contact Police Scotland on 101 with any information they may have about either incident. Alternatively information can be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
